These are a mixed neocaridina species of freshwater shrimp. Small and easy to care for, these shrimp can be useful to grow in a separate tank or an existing sump as a source of supplemental live feed for a larger tank. These are also interactive and good cleaners in a nano or planted tank. It is recommended that a sponge cover the inlet/outlet of water filters if you are using external filtration for rearing the shrimp, as the young can easily get sucked into filters. Sponge filters are optimal, since the sponge filter provides an area for the napuli/shrimp babies to hide and food that comes to them.
